Web Designer

The role.

As a web designer at Creative Purpose, you’ll be responsible for designing beautiful, high-converting websites that don’t just look great — they’re built to perform.

You’ll collaborate closely with our digital, strategy, and development teams to design websites that support lead generation, reflect our clients’ brands, and bring ideas to life through thoughtful, user-focused design.

We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, a solid grasp of design principles, and experience turning strategy into engaging digital experiences. With a wide range of projects across different industries, no two days will feel the same — and there’s plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career.

This role is open to full-time team members based at our Guildford office, as well as freelancers and remote applicants — we care more about your talent than your postcode.

Responsibilities.

Website Design:
Design clean, conversion-focused websites that reflect client goals, brand identity, and user needs — with a focus on both desktop and mobile experiences.

Collaboration:
Work closely with strategists, developers, and digital marketers to bring projects to life from concept through to launch.

User Experience:
Create intuitive layouts and seamless journeys that are grounded in UX best practices and drive real results.

Visual Consistency:
Ensure every design feels cohesive and aligns with the client’s brand guidelines — from typography and colour to layout and imagery.

Learning & Innovation:
Stay on top of design trends, tools, and digital best practices — and bring new ideas to the table.

What we're looking for.

Experience:
At least 3 years of experience designing websites, ideally in an agency or freelance setting.

Design Skills:
A strong grasp of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy — plus experience using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

Performance Focus:
An understanding of how design supports lead generation and marketing goals — not just aesthetics.

UX Awareness:
Confidence designing user flows and responsive layouts that enhance engagement and usability.

Communication:
Strong communicator who can explain ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with others.

Growth Mindset:
Always curious, eager to learn, and looking for ways to push your creativity further.
